Cloth Diapers

Some interest has been expressed in the new cloth diapers. Here's Jamie wearing them, so cute:

I meant to get him in different colored ones, but this is what he happened to be wearing. (And look how interested he is in the elephant!)
And here's the system. A basket of diapers, with the stuffers already inside. Another basket of cloth wipes and a spray bottle to get them wet with the solution. And, if you look closely, disposable diapers and wipes behind that for night or some trips.

Jamie and Charlie

Here's what the boys are up to:

Looking

Neck stretching

Looking while neck stretching

Riding trucks and wearing hats

Cool dude sunglasses in his seat (mysteriously in the living room)

Trying to push the grill while standing on the step stool

And the boys together:

Family Pictures

Here's attempt #2 at a nice picture of all of us. Not bad, but Charlie's looking at Grandpa.

Here's Jamie, in an outfit that lasted an hour.

Grandpa Jeff and Charlie taking a walk.

What a cool dude!

Charlie's Birthday

Thanks to Grandma Patti Johnston (a mouthful!) for Charlie's birthday pictures. Sorry there aren't more - we were all really busy!

Charlie opened some tractors and wanted to do nothing else. Until some other things were assembled. Thanks Grandma Margaret and Grandpa David for the tractors!

Here are his TWO balloons, because he's TWO. And his new workbench and grill.

And here we sing to Charlie and he makes a valiant attempt to blow out his candle.

Smiles

Here's Jamie in his bouncer, for once enjoying himself.

Alright, I'm teasing. Here's smiles:

This really is a smile, not a cry. He's so happy with his elephants!

A good one. And whose chubby hands are trying to make his brother happy?

Water Fun

Charlie went to the Six Flags waterpark, but he really prefered a pool in the backyard.
Getting a drink

He wasn't sure about the sprinkler at first, but he found he loved it.

And this is a separate water incident, following spaghetti. He's crazy about the hose :)

Fun with Grandpa and Grandma

Charlie got a workbench (I took a sad lack of pictures this week, including of this toy) and he climbed through the box with the shop's light.

And he got Grandma through too.

Then he fixed the box with the shop's screwdriver, which is far and away his favorite tool.

Great hat exchange of 2010.

Storytime

Bath

Jamie never likes bath, except when we put him in with Charlie. Then he was quite calm.

Cars

At the ripe old age of 2, Charlie finally decides it's fun to push the car.

New haircut!

He's finally riding the truck, too.

No Theme

Here's Charlie with some watermelon. The bib saved the shirt but the pants were lost to red juice.

And look at the boys :)

Jambo

Here is that beloved younger brother, Jambo. Isn't the tie-dye adorable?

Cuddling with Mama

I love when he looks so awake. He sleeps a lot more than most 6 week olds because he was so early.

Family

Here's a last shot of Aunt Kelsey, who provided Mama company, Charlie a truck companion, and Jamie a bunch of diaper changes and hours of cuddling.

But the real treat for you Johnstons is Dan's Memorial Day visit. Charlie had him hooked.

Yes, those are a bunch of blocks, a truck, AND the bunny. Good day to be Charlie.

Even better day. Dan built towers for Charlie to knock down.
