Nora likes to sit with me and smile while everyone else naps...like she should be. Good thing she's so cute :)

Bath

 Nora has been taking a shower with me, since she didn't love it at first. But today we gave her a bath again and I think she's ready to bathe like a big girl.

Everybody gets an apron and starts cooking. 

 (Grandma Margaret made this apron of Lucy's and it matches one she made me. It has owls :)

Nora's Day 1/14/14

Nora's Day at 11 weeks

10pm nurses
3am (? Mama was too sleepy to notice) nurses
7am nurses
8:30 gets up, all smiles, walks around, reads Top Cat with Lucy

9:00 nurses, back to sleep while the rest of us start school

10:00 up, nurses, helps the boys with school

10:30 big kids outside, hangs out in bouncer and coos at elephants while Mama does dishes, dusts, takes out trash, sorts mail, and other things babies aren't helpful with.

10:55 begins unhappy noises and is rewarded by being picked up

11:05 is instrumental in settling a Jamie/Charlie dispute and taking Lucy for a potty break

11:15 nurses and cuddles

11:25 down for nap

(A careful observer will note that the big kids are outside and the baby is asleep. What did I do with that unencumbered time? I'll never tell! Ok, you win, I folded laundry, toured the boys' outside masterpieces, and made lunch.)

12:15 She's had her eyes open for awhile and now she gets up

12:25 new clothes required for a cranky baby 

12:45 everybody under 4 crying (some girl would be happier if she'd just sleep longer than 30-45 min!)

12:46 nurses while we read books

1:00 everyone else is in bed - Charlie and Lucy in the same room (We'll see...) Good time for a diaper explosion!

1:15 nurses

1:23 off to bed

1:50 starts looking around and dozing, then finally cries

2:55 up and nurses

3:00 hangs out with Mama and Charlie

3:40-3:50 helps Charlie and Jamie with their art project

3:50 gets wrapped up and nurses

3:55 down for nap

4:30 up

4:50 quick errand, never leaves the car

5:35 nurses and I attempt to put her down

5:50 no sleeping!

6:05 nurses again, nap take two

6:25 I don't think she ever really slept, but she's up and reasonably content

 7:00 shower with Mama

7:15 nurses

7:25 goodnight, Nora! See you about 5 hours!

I have documented their days before, but never this detailed or with pictures. So don't let the baby convince you I never did anything special for #4 :) Also, looking over Lucy's day gives me hope consolidated napping at least once a day is close - she was about 3 weeks older than Nora is now when I did hers and they have had very similar development. Clearly Nora's still having fun taking lots of short naps.

Zoo

It was a lovely January day so we took a trip to the zoo.


Jamie rode a metal tortoise.

 Nora rode in a carrier and enjoyed looking a little then sleeping.

 Reptiles!

 We spent a lot of time in the play area on the spider web

 and rocks around the water feature.

 Lucy liked walking the rocks with her dad.

 Everybody practiced jumping from rock to rock.

 Lucy did NOT want her picture taken again.

Nora stats

I took Nora to her two month well child visit and she's grown!

10 lb 7 oz 

22 in

Both of those are around the 15th percentile.

She's smiling lots, always looking around,  and loves to watch people. She's been worn out after her vaccines and sleeping lots, both in bed and....
