We went to breakfast for pancakes 

Then to the zoo

We rode the carousel and Tessa was not convinced 

We went into a new place in the zoo where the kids could go through an underground tunnel

We had a picnic. Then home and pizza for supper and cake!

Opera

For Lucy's birthday activity, we went to a family opera. It was the Three Little Pigs and it was fun to go to the opera house. Lucy said she loved it and wants to do it again next year :)


There were craft stations before the show. James made a Hulk pig and Nora made a pretty one. Lucy made an Elsa and Charlie did one too.

 They also had opera masks.

 They were excited to be there.

 New place, same faces

 The girls sat on booster seats they had available. Tessa walked around by our feet and objected occasionally to the whole proceeding. Overall, it was fun!

Oct 22

St John Paul II's feast day has been a good one for pictures of the kids. We have gone for a walk in his honor the past three years, and here's another good shot. Oh Tessa, you always get foisted in the picture somehow!

More Birthday

Blogger on my phone doesn't care for me any more. Here are some more pictures!

Lucy wanted an Elsa balloon, and they only had one. So we got it. Barely.

She wanted a white cake with pink frosting and strawberries. This has a cream cheese strawberry layer. We added sprinkles!

 She wanted stir fry for lunch. Mostly cake, though.

She got to watch Frozen during nap, went to Faith Formation, and we went to Jason's Deli for supper.

We went back to the park with the ducks today but we're more prepared and bought bread. Lucy told me it was the best day of her life.

 Tessa has been playing by herself some lately. She crawled off to investigate the toys in the sunroom and contentedly played. She also ate a chunk of dirt, somewhat guiltily.
