Sitting

Isi got excrement on her clothes so I left her to get new. When I got back, she was vertical.

Busted, playing with diapers

Nope, too cute to be in trouble!

Max’s birthday

He had marshmallows-only lucky charms, and a racetrack cake

And a bath in mom's big tub!

Mac is 3!

Goodness we love him! Everyone spoils him rotten but he is just as sweet as can be.
Don't believe anyone who says 6th kids don't get enough attention.

Future helicopter pilot/construction worker

Don't miss Isi, heading in to see what's happening.

Bundled up

Justin wrapped the little kids in multiple sleeping bags, blankets, and hats. It worked! They both said they were warm all night. The big kids wrapped themselves but also made use of the plethora of camping equipment we've got and kept warm. No one bailed at midnight!

Tent camping

The boys have been dying to camp, even though it's cold, and Max wanted it to be his birthday activity. They wanted to sleep in multiple tents too.

They bundled up to even get outside.

Headgear

Max now requires two pairs of undies a day

He's choosing his birthday movie. It's been hard - cars or planes??

Earrings

Because I love to do things at home, I pierced Lucy's ears in my bathroom.

She's delighted!

Big box creativity

We got a big box in the mail today (sled!!) and the boys made a truck for Max. It hauls stuffed animals.

There was almost a crash, but sharpie wheels stop quickly.

Then Charlie found another box (ups has been here A LOT) and made a helicopter! The blades really spin but fortunately do not take off. Max wears his helmet just in case.

Blue scoot

For his birthday, Max asked for a blue helmet and a blue scooter. He was so convinced grandma would get him these things, he asked if every package had "my blue scoot" in it. Obviously he had to get them early.

Outside adventure

Despite their claims in Texas that 55° was too cold to go outside, the kids talked me into going to the skate park when it was 37°. Good thing I bought this coat with an extra piece for a baby in a carrier.

And some adventure in the backyard!

Max’s Tuesday

Max has been talking up a storm lately. Today he was telling us he wants a blue helicopter, he'll clean his room to make space, and if we can't fly it he'll learn! He has a future career goal.

That was tiring so he slept well at nap. This is how he naps. Sometimes I'm not sure he's in there.

Then we walked down for the mail and on our way back the ups truck came. Obviously that's a highlight, and he is convinced there will be "my blue scoot" on it. Good thing his birthday is coming up and grandma says a blue scooter makes a good gift. We've committed to watching a helicopter show tonight so it should be a banner day for Max!

Isi's week is going well so far

Max’s Mass Mask

Say that 3 times fast! He's somehow adorable like this. He's also a champ and doesn't complain at all.

Tessa has sad eyes. She does complain. Plenty.

Skateboard park

It is supposed to rain and then snow starting tomorrow so we made a last picnic trip to the skateboard park. Going during the school day was a great decision because there was no one else skating.
Also! Bear playground

Nora’s birthday hike

For a birthday activity, Nora wanted to hike. The mountain passes are closed so we went to a wildlife center.

It was a gorgeous day.

We had our own line for the viewing device. We did see a woodpecker, a porcupine (in a tree) and a beaver.
