Sledding

 We've been wanting to go to Hamilton to the good sledding hill, but often snow for sledding doesn't work out well for driving. Today, though - 40 degrees, still snowy, Justin off work on a Monday!

I didn't get a lot of pictures, but Isi had fun, as long as I pulled her back up the hill.

Bernadette went a few times. She wasn't sure if the screaming was for fun, or for pain.

Everyone else had a great time! Max wasn't so sure, but he eventually decided it was a good time too.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas! It was finally not insanely cold, so we got outside pictures.

Got one of the kids covering the entire Nativity scene at church. Nora was in front of Max, but he stuck his head out for this one!

Feast Days

This is a big week for Catholic feasts! First we had Our Lady of Guadalupe. James and Charles made churros, their first experiment with deep frying. Yum!

Lucy didn't want to wear the crown for St Lucy this year, so Tessa took over. There's nothing like a candle procession.

Special time with Grandpa

Grandpa offered to spend time with each kid, doing what they wanted. Nora wanted to dress him up with her sisters, and this is only midway through. Later there was hair dye.

Sledding

It was sunny and not windy, so Bernadette went out to play.

She tried sledding. 

Eventually, her other sisters took her too.

Lucy also took a buddy.

 

Blanket

We went to Costco and Bernadette was cold, so we bought her a blanket. When we went to the car, we snuggled her up.

Yesterday, the life of Dottie Speckles the chicken was tragically cut short by a Fox. There was great mourning, and Loki was kind enough to provide solace.

This kid! In the last 10 days she's stood up, talked, started crawling properly, and now cruising. Look at her.

Bernadette has an official first word, and it's "hi," and she pulls herself up to standing to say it. Off to college next I suppose.
