Zoo

Here are some more pictures of our trip to the Dallas Zoo.

Grandpa Jeff and Charlie watch the elephant fountain. Sure, there are live animals- but there's water!!!

Grandpa Jeff couldn't convince Charlie to join him on the elephant.

One of our favorite activities was feeding the giraffes.

Charlie loved watching the lions.

Charlie thought the animals that spent their time in the water were lucky.

Both boys enjoyed the carousel.

Neither of them was afraid when the animals went up and down.

Train

We rode the train to the Dallas Zoo. It was fun for everyone. Jamie got Grandma's keys.

Charlie got to walk around until it started.

Then, of course, everyone sat on Mom and Dad

Bath

Grandma loves giving the boys a bath and they had a good time too. I'd like to explain away what's happening in this next picture, but it's just what it looks like: Jamie's putting a play shaving brush in Charlie's waiting mouth.

They're pretty cute wet :)

Swing

Jamie got a new swing for his birthday. He's a big fan. Here's Grandma Margaret pushing him in it.

He thought it was a good time.

Charlie thought it was ok to sit in as long as no one moved it at all.

Garage Boys

This was originally going to be a video of Jamie dancing when we turned on the music. But he mostly stopped dancing and instead played in the garage with Charlie.

Garden

Justin, my dad and grandpa built my square foot garden this week. Charlie helped.



It was pretty interesting.




There were tools.




Then we got all the dirt in and he helped me plant and water.

Lunching with Lions

While I was too busy enjoying the zoo to get many pictures, I did get a shot of our amazing lunch view.





Since Charlie's number one zoo desire was to see lions, this worked out pretty well! He kept reassuring me that they weren't roaring.

Boxes

We have had a lot of large boxes around lately, and the boys think they're much more fun than their contents.



There's climbing and flaps and hiding - good times.

Play Doh!

Jamie got to play with PlayDoh for the first time. It was fun.



It looked delicious but he resisted.



The master was around to show him how it worked.

Jamie's Haircut

I cut Jamie's hair this weekend. I know he's pretty little, but his hair was very long. He didn't want us to get a picture - whenever we tried, he'd hear the camera and turn towards it.

We finally got sneaky and here's the back.

Jamie eats Jell-O

This is from a couple weeks ago when we were at a Chinese buffet. The boys consumed large amounts of food, and Jamie got to try Jell-O. This is his third try, and it's too bad you can't see the first two. Partway through, he gives me a big smile and what he finally got in falls right out. It's a shame we can't take Owen everywhere we eat, as we leave quite a mess in our wake.
