All Saints Party

 The church had an All Saints party, and the kids dressed up and told people about their saint in exchange for candy. They had so much fun.

Party

The scout Halloween party was yesterday and I didn't get any pictures of scary Lucy and James! But here are some attending children.

Nora is 10!

She wanted pear bread for breakfast, mozzarella sticks and pickles for lunch, monkey bread for cake, and pizza for supper. A whole decade of Nora!!

Best sisters

I'll say it again, Bernadette is a lucky kid. She has the most devoted siblings. She's potty training (it's going sloooooow) and Lucy is building with her to keep her amused. Also amused is Ferguson.

Biscuit

Bernadette loves this Biscuit book. She gets it out every day and yells Dog! Puppy! Cat!" Yes it is upside down and no she does not want me to fix that.

Lucy is 12

Yesterday was Lucy's birthday! She got some new chickens lately and we gave her a rock tumbler, so I think she's set now. We love her so much!

Lucy is such a good big sister. Bernadette dragged a sheet into the living room and wanted tucked in.

James is trying to make Bernadette like him best. He's sharing his video school class with her.

I took older kids on a field trip and we had fun, don't believe their faces.

James has been inspired by baking shows to work with fondant. Here's his spider cake.

Pear picking

 We needed to harvest more of our fruit, but the good stuff is so high up! Charles and James got up on ladders and beat the branches, or threw balls at them, and everyone else collected. We got 2.5 5-gallon buckets, and so far we've made crisp and bread and eaten a lot.

Bernadette studied Tessa carefully, to make sure she had the position correct.

 James finally caught a fish, which he needed for his merit badge. Sadly, it was a protected species and he couldn’t cook it.
