Max’s Haircut

Max is another sweaty kid and when he wears a helmet he just drips, so I gave him a big boy short haircut.

The first one is his more natural smile, then his picture smile.

Pretty girl

I give up on themes. How beautiful is she?!

Max keeps clean

We wondered where Max went. Turns out he heard he was supposed to wash his hands for several minutes with the sink plugged.

James is 10!

James, once so tiny and fragile, is now a hulking 10 year old. He is silly as can be.

He wanted lucky charms, boxed macaroni and cheese, a cake with butterfinger frosting, and pizza while watching a Star Wars movie. He enjoyed the cake, but maybe not as much as lighting the candles.

Our friend teaches archery to homeschool groups and offered to have him out to shoot since his bowling plan was cancelled. They have a big yard and he was really pleased with this alternative and had a great time!

Max

His comfy pillow has matching hair.

Chubby baby

Look how big she's getting! Double chin!

Selfie camera for finding out if her eyes closed,

My view

All day, every day. The only place she'll sleep during the day.

Ballerina

The first dimple picture I've gotten!

Look how chubby her cheeks have gotten!

This week

Nora lost another tooth!

We went for some walks
Isi napped. Exclusively on me.

Bath

Isi has been in the bath with me, but yesterday was her first bath alone. As long as we kept the washcloth warm she liked it.

The kids thought this was a big washcloth, but it's not. She's that small.

Big girl

She found her thumb!

Look how chubby her cheeks are getting! Arms still too short for the pjs though 😊

Fwd: Car ride

Isi went on her first car ride! We dropped a package in a ups drop box, got gas, and stopped outside the church to pray. Big times! She did not enjoy when I was stopped for gas, but otherwise got along fine and kept sleeping in her seat while the other kids rode bikes.

I'm trying to get her to sleep flat on her back, but she seems to prefer random napping at an angle.

Easter

We got all fancied up for prayers and a picture. We get good smiles with "say Isi!"

They want her to want toys so badly. Happy first Easter, baby!

Building

We started school back this week, but only at half speed, so there's plenty of time for the group favorite activity: magnet tiles. We even got another set for Easter. Yes, there is fighting. But mostly it's hours and hours of fun.

You can build a garage for your cars, or if you prefer a tomb for your saint dolls.

More siblings

So, so many siblings.

Siblings

Everyone held Isi this morning! Look at her skinny chicken legs and long toes!

Max and Isi

It's a love story

Good Friday

Since we couldn't go to a liturgy, we brought one to us! We read the readings and did a Tenebrae service, which you can read about here

Siblings

Holding the baby has not lost its thrill. She is not as into it if she's sleeping, but everyone still gets turns.

All wrapped up

Isi and I have been trying baby wearing. She likes to nap, I like to accomplish things. Win win!

Summer?

It was 94° today. It's supposed to be back in the 50s next week. The temperature is as confused as everything else.

So the kids ran races in the alley. They would cheer on "little runner" and he crossed the finish line every time.

One week!

Happy due date, baby Isi. It's a confusing world.

Baptism

Since the regular sacraments are unavailable right now, the bishop said parents should feel free to baptize newborns themselves. So we did!

A friend made this gorgeous gown and got it to us yesterday. I'm excited it will get a second use when we do the rest of the ceremony someday.

Here's a link to the video, if you're interested

And having gotten everyone dressed up for Palm Sunday without palms and baptism day without a priest, we got a family picture!

There was even Charlie-decorated cake, because we have priorities. Welcome to the Church, Isidora!
