Everyone cheering for her and forcing presents into her hands is pretty overwhelming, but Dad helped

She is not interested in walking, which is unusual for a Junkel baby. She does like to push this cart, if she can get it from Isi.

James and I made cupcakes and took a Lenten exception to eat some! He added maraschino cherries.

She popped that in her mouth right away but was not at all sure about it

After she set it back on the tray, she tried frosting. Much better.

Oh wait, the cherry goes on the cupcake!

Eventually I confiscated the cherry and she demolished the rest of the cake

Winter Activities

We went skiing again. It's so gorgeous! You can see Lucy taking off down the mountain if you squint.

This is Tessa and Lucy. James was also there, but he takes off with our friends and we don't see him all day! Unsurprisingly, he's got an aptitude and no fear of hurting himself. 

Then Sunday, we went on a winter hike to Kootenai.

Max mostly wanted to hike so he could wear his camelbak

 Bernadette would not keep her hands in my coat or mittens, and it was a struggle to keep the hat on. She liked looking around though!
