Max eats

I have too many kids to feed each one. So if they want solids, they gotta do it themselves. Max sure thinks he does want food.

I had stuff to do, so I kept handing him silverware with a tad of avocado on it

He is just not sure about it

But he entertained himself eating for 45 minutes while I cooked. Now I have to give him a bath, but he probably wanted one anyhow.

LEGO

Tessa got shut out of her room by her sisters, who wanted to build legos without her. But she's a determined soul, and built her own. Where they couldn't miss her.

6 month checkup

Max weighs 15 lb 11oz, and paper doesn't stand a chance

We're all smitten with this little guy

6 months

Who could believe it?

Toy cube

Max is so big! Big enough to open the doors

But small enough to fall over backwards and be sad

So Tessa wants us all to be impressed she can play with the toy too

Pentecost

Some of us wore red. But I didn't change Max because his hair has it covered 

Movie nights

Some kids are camping and some kids are watching a movie

Fossil Rim

We went to Fossil Rim, which is a wildlife preserve in West Texas.

We stayed the night in their lodge, which was great. We had the place to ourselves, and the view in the morning was amazing.

 Hot chocolate as big as Nora

Then we drove through the park. You go very slow, so the kids rode in the back of the truck or the passenger seat. 

 We could feed the giraffe. He came right over when we stopped.

Haircut

 Some very tempting nail scissors started a haircut so I finished it

 Tessa needed "just one more minute "so we got all ready for bed and then sat in the chair for one more minute 

Being two is hard

Sometimes you peel your own orange but it falls into pieces and then it's bad and wrong 

Max’s fanclub

Max is still very popular around here

He loves his daddy

His sisters love to cuddle him

And feed him bacon, of the teething variety

Queen Nora

Her hair went up very elegantly, although it didn't last

Sitting

Max is getting really good at sitting! He loves to sit, assisted or not. He won't work on rolling but he has priorities

His little arms and legs are going all the time

Also, he can hang out in the high chair during meals

His hair has its own reality tv show

May crowning

We went to a May crowning (flower crown on the statue of Mary) and the kids took flowers to put st the Mary mosaic in the garden. James was with the First Communion kids and in his suit

We had Father Javier to dinner and the kids are all friends with him now

Max has such adorable chubby cheeks when he smiles!

And here's Nora, pleased with her markered self and telling me Maria is smiling too
