He was a very happy car. He clung to his basket all night and indicated strongly that he wanted candy in it just like everyone else.

We did fall stuff this afternoon. We've never made caramel apples, and waiting on the caramel was trying. But then it got fun!

Then in 2017 I was on bedrest and it looks like last year we were at the pumpkin patch but this year I did it! They're so big. Also, now featuring Max.

Lucy's Birthday

Lucy is 8! She wanted Lucky Charms, McAlister's, and pizza

 We had a joint birthday party with Nora at a gymnastics place. Here's Tessa on the bar.

 It was...well-attended. We invited all their co-op classmates and their siblings, plus a few other friends.

 Then I wanted a birthday picture and she was not sure if she wanted one

 But Max volunteered. Happy birthday Lucy!!

My heart just melts when the boys take good care of Max. It's hard to believe they'll be grown up when he's still a kid! But look at the perks:

State Fair

Maybe you can tell from the pictures, but we took fall break from regular school and did all the field trips this week. It's been beautiful!

Today we went to the State Fair for the first time. They had this fun shopping thing that the kids liked maybe the most. After the food. 

 We collected veggies, then fed them to the chickens and hogs so they could give us eggs and meat, then we planted seeds to grow veggies.

 The main thing to do here was eat, and we sampled a lot of things. But nothing quite beats some ice cream.
