Family Pictures
The kids were playing happily but I really wanted a picture of all three, since I can't find any in the last six months.
and both boys took a decent picture
but we had less luck getting photos of all of them
This is cute :)
No one would be happy at the same time. Lucy was really mad she couldn't sit with me.
Cemetery
We all went out to the cemetery to deliver Memorial Day flowers.
Charlie got to see two earlier "Charles"
We learned some family history
Grandma Pat took us on a tour of our relativesCharlie carried the flowers.
You can tell by his excited hands how much he liked that.
We saw Grandpa Chuck's grave. Charlie loved his flag.
He was goofy with it when it was time for pictures.
But we were glad to get together in a photo, as close as we've gotten with Grandpa since the week before Charlie was born.
Then Charlie got to crawl on the tombstone

Ice Cream
If you knew my grandpa, it will come as no surprise that there were three ice cream breaks on this trip. Charlie was pleased.
Then he had another chocolate cone, which required a cup for all the ice cream on top.
Not that he forgot the cone part.
Unpictured is a third trip where he had - that's right, a chocolate cone.

Airplane
Charlie and I took a trip to see my grandma (and all my other family - hi guys!)
Lucy was not pleased we were leaving, but she was happy to go in the car
Bye Daddy!
Charlie got to wear his green backpack and see the airplanes
Here we are on the plane:

Strawberries
Since it was my birthday and we didn't make cake, and inspired by the Godiva store in the mall and the 4lb container of strawberries we bought yesterday, we decided to make chocolate-dipped strawberries.
and a couple animal crackers.

Popsicles
I have made homemade popsicles a couple times this spring. Inspired by this recipe, I've basically just made green smoothies and frozen them. Today's are frozen blueberries, a banana, kale frozen from fresh blended with juice, and Greek yogurt. I even got some popsicle molds instead of using muffin tins with craft sticks like the first couple tries. They're a big hit.

Except that they didn't want to stay on the stick.
Ah, that's better.
Charlie's wouldn't stay on the stick at all, but he made the best of it.
Owen finally got some when the last bite of Lucy's came off.
But she was keeping the rest for herself. Except what she used the paint the sidewalk. The stick is a lot like a paintbrush if you're one.

Mother and Daughter
Yesterday when I couldn't easily locate a picture of me with my mom, I decided we should at least be able to easily find one of me and Lucy. Since I was reading to her when I made that decision, it was pretty simple.
She takes Baby Loves You So Much very seriously.

Dot Paint
We made letters with dot paints. Lucy is also an enthusiastic painter.
Jamie liked to switch colors.
He wanted me to show how the tip looks.
Charlie only wanted his letter photographed.
Finally Jamie actually made a B.
