Busy Boys

Sorry I've been so post-less. Here are a few things we've been up to:


Perhaps the most exciting, Jamie is crawling! Some.


Charlie is himself. As usual.




Jamie is pretty mobile, and doesn't want to just sit when he could be looking at Charlie's toys.



He can also turn super thick pages.

And, he's eating food. This picture is inaccurate, though, he won't feed himself.

More Things Jamie Can Do

Hold cars.


Play cars with Charlie.




Play with Owen.



Fly like Superman!

Also, drink from a straw. But there are no pictures of that.

Book

Here's everybody having a bedtime book. We all start sitting.


Jamie starts grabbing for the pictures.




Pretty soon he's on his tummy.



And everyone has to lean to reach the book.

But it's a good story :)

Charlie Alphabet

Grandma Patti is making Charlie an alphabet book and she was missing two pictures.

He apparently wants his diaper changed, and is going to get one.

Video

I wanted to take a video so we could remember how Charlie talks at this age. It's basically 4 1/2 minutes of him chattering. At the end he tells me he needs to go potty.





Then he watched the video twice. It's surreal to look at, which is fun.

Halloween

Jamie in his holiday bib. Ready to party as usual. He likes to play with the little pumpkins.

Here's my sweet pea! It's a hot costume, but he didn't mind wearing it.

Owen thought it smelled yummy and came to investigate.

Here's our fireman again. He wore his hat for a while but not out trick-or-treating.

We just visited a few nearby houses, and Charlie was a little shy, but he got out "trick or treat" and collected his candy. This morning, he's ready to go do it again!

Sitting and Reading

Jamie hasn't been able to sit unassisted very well, but Justin claims it's just because he doesn't want to. When Daddy's reading is a good reason, and he sits just fine.

Carving Pumpkins with Aunt Kelsey

Aunt Kelsey was visiting over her fall break, and she helped us carve pumpkins!

Charlie enjoyed eating the roasted seeds. And Jamie was not much help.

There's a lot to see.

The fire inside was fascinating.

Jamie wanted to hold one but it was too big. (The one on your left is the Jamie pumpkin, with two little teeth!)

Charlie did not want to pose, but here's the artiste and muse!

A Series of Jamie Events

Jamie is supposed to be demonstrating his sitting prowess here, but he's interested in something.

And he's going for it. Is it Pooh?

No. It's an ad! And he loves it. He's got it in his grasp.

Sadly, this will only point sideways. But it's a sad picture for Jamie, because his grasp isn't too good and it's gone.
