Big Sister

Things Nora took to nap today included the I'm a Big Sister book. Just to round out a collection of necessities.

Ballerina

She has been waiting and waiting and today: ballet class. 

First day of school

Jamie is in kindergarten, Nora is learning not to destroy things, Charlie is in first grade, Lucy is in preschool. Wish us luck!

Swim lessons

Jamie is having individual swim lessons this year (thanks Grandma Patti!) because he was freaked out about being in the water. His teacher Sarah has been great and he's doing really well.

He doesn't like back floats, but he's adjusting

He can swim a few feet by himself and doesn't mind putting his face in the water 

He's also jumping off to her pretty happily. He loves to have his picture taken doing them, but I've been taking the other kids swimming during his lesson so I don't have many.

Great Wolf Lodge

Nora tried jumping while we were there and is hooked on it. But "jumping" means stepping off whatever she's standing on and counting on someone to catch her. She dunked herself a couple times, but she was fine with that too.

Swimming trip

We came to Great Wolf Lodge with grandma and grandpa and great-grandma. I haven't gotten action shots (it's not camera safe) but they gave us wolf ears.

Shaving cream

Today was Nora's first time to play in shaving cream. She enjoys smearing her food on the table so I thought she'd like it.

She was hesitant and Charlie showed her how.

But she sure got into it

Donuts

Through what must have been the intercession of the patron saint of small children during church, everyone was very well-behaved during Mass on Sunday and we all got donuts.

Looks like even Owen scored.
