Grandma's Visit

Here's Christmas, part II!

Here's the newest car: Lucy's!

She can't drive it herself, but she likes to ride.

So do her brothers

And that snow was enough for a snowman!

Jamie and Mom make breakfast

Grandma reads to everyone.

White Christmas!

Lucy, who doesn't have a warmer coat, is ready to go outside for 30 seconds.

The boys are also ready for their half-minute jaunt.

You can see, if you squint, all the snow accumulating on Owen's coat.

Lucy thought the snow was great to look at out the window, but doesn't enjoy the cold. The past couple weeks, she tries to put on her own coat, but when I get her outside she cries and wants right back in.

The boys too thought it was nifty but not fun to play in.

Christmas Morning

Look! There are snacks and presents!

Jamie opened the back of this and said "it's a Ree Drummond book"

Charlie says one of his favorite presents is his new step stool

Lucy kept trying to drink from these but they were still in the package and she was mad.

The snack the boys most wanted was their apples

They got matching cameras!

Then we saw Lucy with her apple and thought she was mostly playing...

but it turns out she can really eat an apple. 

We had to break out the bunnies

Lucy's Fox

Lucy loves her fox and her blanket. When she gets up from nap, she demands to bring them with her.

What are the boys doing? Watching The Pioneer Woman Cooks.

Lucy has her priorities, though.

Look how big she is! My baby is a toddler now. Sniff.

Oh wait, Pioneer Woman looks interesting to her too.

Hand print Animals

We read a book about monkeys who use their handprints to create pictures, so we thought we'd try.

Green is everyone's favorite.

Then later we colored - and if they don't look exactly like animals, well, it was fun.

Lucy got to try out crayons, but she ate them.

I think everyone knows Lucy's furry friend.

They play. Today they wrestled while he licked her.

She "throws" his ball.

Or waits until he comes to claim it.
