Halloween

We trick or treated in the house. Justin and I moved between rooms and they knocked for candy. We also walked over to one neighbor and watched Monsters Inc. An unusual but fun Halloween!

Isi on the move

She had two outfits today because she ate avocado and the bib did not offer the protection she needed.

Snow fun

If you put a snowman in a coat off the kitchen deck, Mom will think it's a person every time she walks by

Tessa got new mittens in the mail and had to try them on on the walk back

Pumpkins

We planned to paint some pumpkins and carve some, but they froze and are mushy so we just painted. Leftover glow in the dark paint though!

Nora is 7!

Another birthday girl, another new book for James to examine 

Mini wheats, mac and cheese, hamburger sliders, reeses cake. Plans for a nature walk when it's over freezing next weekend.

Squash

Isi loved squash.

She enjoyed it so much she needed a bath.

Snowy the snowman

This snowman was created out of the tiny bit of snow we had yesterday. But overnight we got a ton, so expect bigger snowmen soon.

Justin was exercising and Max joined in. He did a great job! He tried everything and kept it up until the end.

Food for Isi

The high chair arrived so we gave Isi some food. She's been grabbing ours for weeks.

We put out some banana and she wasn't sure but she grabbed it and kept getting it in her mouth anyway.

And pretty soon she was hooked. She likes to join all meals. Today she had Cheerios and chicken out of enchiladas because she's an adventurous eater for someone who started eating 3 days ago.

Snow!

We saw flakes coming and headed out.

Yes, Tessa is wearing just snow pants 🤷🏼‍♀️ The wind picked up and we went back in to get properly bundled. Good thing snow pants came yesterday and boots the day before.

Lucy’s birthday

Her birthday activity was to paint canvases with glow in the dark paint.

She got some wax that temporarily dyes her hair, which she's always wanted to try.

And there was pink cake! We love you, Lucy.

Lucy is 9!

She had pancakes, sausage pasta, and pizza.

Thanks for the shoes, Grandma Margaret! James is checking out some books she got.

Lots of games

Looooong walks to the mailbox. Max is a very loving brother.

Watching a show on the computer because the tv isn't mounted. Also, thanks to the previous owners for thinking about painting but bailing 🙄

Park

We explored a local park, and had a picnic

Skateboard park

We took scooters to the park with the skateboard ramp.

One direction was clear and the other was foreboding. I don't have good pictures of the boys because they were the fastest and loved it!

Isi and Max

We had a good time walking on the rocks today.

Max was a little nervous but he likes to have his picture taken. Isi just wanted to sit and have a break.

Stream

The kids crossed a stream at the park today. They were as proud as if it wasn't 2 inches deep.
