Swingset

The kids said what they really wanted for Christmas is a swingset. So their grandparents chipped in for a nice one.

Then Justin and I spent allllll day putting it up.

Tessa was patient

We ordered pizza. It gets dark early.

But after 12 whole hours, we have a swingset!

They are having a blast

We went to the Heard Museum and saw animatronic dinosaurs

Nora is afraid to turn her back, just in case

It's no wonder Nora feels bad for girls she sees at the store who don't seem to have a sister.

Party

Nora's stuffed animals were having a party. Where they took naps. Sounds like a good party to me.

Tessa demands everyone who eats a banana share. Today she ate it like corn on the cob 

Camping

Justin and his parents took Charlie, James, and Lucy camping with the cub scouts.

They had a great time

Moses

Charlie was supposed to tell a Bible story, but in a succinct way, which is not his specialty ;)  I think he did it pretty well, though.

When Moses was a baby, he was hunted by the soldiers of a wicked king. So his family hid him in a basket and put him in the river and then the princess came and found him and his sister asked the princess if she would like her to go get her mom to be a nurse for her new adopted baby and they got to keep him for a while and then he became a prince.

He left Egypt because he had killed one of the Egyptians who had been treating his people bad. God spoke to him in a burning bush and told him to go back to Egypt where his brother Aaron would meet him and they would free the slaves.

Ears

Tessa has a delightful new habit of screeching until she gets what she wants. And one thing she wants is to wear these wolf ears.

She purses her mouth like this a lot.
