Easel

Jamie got an easel and easel art set for his birthday and today we broke out the paint. The boys like to work on it together.

Lucy goes to church

Lucy's avoiding getting wet on our way to church. She is wearing a pink hair clip and a purple hair clip because she said she wanted one that matched her dress. She has her own fashion sense :)

Jamie's Birthday

It was also Nora's 6 month birthday. They were happy to celebrate together.

 Jamie wanted pancakes for breakfast. How can he be 4??

 Grandpa John visited and we all went to the zoo. Jamie took the train.

 Since I let them pick birthday meals, Jamie has been saying for months he wanted a lobster. We got some meat, but he really wanted to pick one out of the tank himself, so we did that too.

Then there was chocolate sheet cake! He said it was a good birthday.

Zoo

The most anticipated part of today's birthday zoo trip was playing in the water feature. Nora dipped her toes and then observed.

Charlie and Jamie had lots of splashy fun.

Lucy was a tad hesitant but ran around with the best of them.

Lucy (Update!)

Lucy likes to sleep on the floor (or cot) in the boys' room. We tried it out as practice for some trips, and now she wants to do it everyday. A couple nights ago, she insisted she was tired at 6 and went to bed before everyone just for the pleasure of lying on their floor. 

This morning she demanded a picture of herself in her pink sunglasses.

 She's also pretty proud of these pants that have watermelons on them

This is what Lucy's wearing today. And she shut the bathroom door and knocked, calling "Elsa! Elsa! Do you want to build a 'noman?"

 When I got Nora dressed this morning in those same overalls, I had to try it again. Nothing came out quite as well, but they're still two pretty cute subjects.

Walk

Today was the perfect walk. Sunny, gentle breeze, 75.

Lucy's ready with her shades. She's the world's slowest walker so she ended up on the stroller because the boys were on wheels.

Charlie can start the bike by himself now and keep going pretty far. The sidewalk is a little narrow sometimes and he ends up in the grass, but he's made huge progress. I think that's what you get when they're really ready. He wanted those training wheels off bad!

Piggyback

He's got a solid 5 pounds and 2 inches on her, so it works
